Luisa lives in a residential facility for people with disabilities. She is 22 years old and curious about life. Unnoticed, Luisa becomes increasingly quiet, everyday life in the residential group continues until it is unexpectedly discovered that Luisa is pregnant. She doesn’t tell anyone what happened, she remains silent. Sexual abuse is suspected. A drama. A true crime.

About the Director
Julia Roesler studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim, with guest studies in Freiburg and Argentina. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance director. She is a founding member of werkgruppe2, where she directs all theater and film productions. Her first hybrid short film MARINA won at DOK Leipzig in 2018 and her debut film LUISA premiered at Shanghai International Film Festival in 2025. NELKENSTRASSE 16 her second feature film. Lectures and workshops for HBK Braunschweig, Mozarteum Salzburg, University of Hildesheim, and the Federal Academy in Wolfenbüttel.
